There are so many ways to be directly involved in the success of families either through financial support or direct involvement in our educational programs.
HANDS believes that people deserve a better life, a healthy environment, equity and; equality; and a society in which families are given opportunities to be more involved in society and their voice is heard. HANDS has an inclusive mission so everyone is incredibly welcome to join us in our mission. Part of the HANDS philosophy is that strength comes when hands are lent from a diverse array of places and that your hand can be the next part of the movement.
SPONSOR A FAMILY
This amazing way of getting involved with HANDS allows you to be a go-to person for a specific family that allows you to be a guide for them and help them with the information they need to access transportation, medical services, and other essential appointments. The United States is a place where registrations and licenses can be very confusing even to those that have lived here for decades. By sponsoring a family you provide them with a person they can call when they not only don’t know what to do but also don’t know who to ask.
PARTICIPATING IN EVENTS
If you are involved or work in a field that is important to or has contact with immigrants we would like to help you share your knowledge and valuable expertise. HANDS events can give you a chance to bridge the knowledge gap in a comfortable environment. If you have a personal story that would be valuable to others that would be a great contribution. We also welcome all those who want to run an event where they share their culture with others.

HANDS is a 501(C) (3) organization so your contributions are tax-deductible.
Donations are a great way to contribute to our mission of helping families establish long-term success. Even if you are busy you can be an important part of cultural events to bridge the information gap by making donations that allow these events to happen. Your donations can also directly support families with critical items and materials they need to be successful in their new home.
VOLUNTEER
HANDS firmly believes in the power of people to help others. Our events are made possible by the work of those to set up the physical venue of the events and being a friendly face to create a welcoming atmosphere. Volunteering is a great way to be part of the organization’s mission of being stronger by working together and in the process meeting others in the organization.
CORPORATE SUPPORT
If you are interested in becoming a partner with a visible and community oriented organization HANDS welcomes expanding our network of partners. HANDS also welcomes organizations that are seeking to learn more about reaching out to immigrants and establish successful relationships in the community.
